Scalloway woman Leigha Williamson, who went missing yesterday, has been found.
Police confirmed that the 44-year-old had been discovered at Port Arthur, the same area of the village she went missing from, at around 1.30pm today.
Inspector Paul Daley said: “Police would like to extend gratitude to coastguard and lifeboat crews and volunteers for their assistance in today’s search efforts.
“We would also like to thank the media and members of the public who shared our appeal for Ms Williamson.”
Ms Williamson had been missing from her home address since about 11am on Tuesday. She was described as slim, 5′ 1″ in height ,with shoulder length dark hair. She currently had a plaster cast on her right arm, following a recent operation to her right wrist, and a tattoo of a rainbow on her left forearm.
The police said it was “very out of character” for her to go missing and to not be in touch with her immediate family, who all lived close by to her.
