Scores of stunning photographs have been sent to The Shetland Times and are in with a chance of featuring on the newspaper’s 2015 calendar.

Dozens of readers responded to a call for entries posted on the Facebook page and here are the photos for you to enjoy. Ranging from atmospheric sunsets to beautiful scenery and everyday Shetland life, the images live up to the brief of capturing the essence of the isles.
A selection of the best will be short-listed and readers will be able to vote on their favourite, with the image getting the most votes appearing on The Shetland Times calendar. That will come free with every paper on 31st December.
There is still time to submit an entry – any images posted on the Facebook page or emailed to editorial@shetlandtimes.co.uk will be considered. Or you can just enjoy the selection of photos below.
