Fire services were busy last night as flooding affected several properties in the west and south Mainland.
At 7.16pm the Sandwick fire brigade were called to a house at Fladdabister where they pumped water from behind and beneath the building and diverted water to a nearby drain.
Bixter fire brigade attended a flooded property at 10.49pm in Wester Skeld and used a portable pump and stirrup pump to ouse water from inside a property and also dug a ditch to divert water away from the building.
Sandwick fire brigade were again called out, this time to a house in Cumlewick where they used a Honda pump to remove water from the basement and dug a trench to divert water away from the building.
Walls fire brigade was called to Culswick at 12.13am where they dug a trench to divert water away from the property. They were clear at 1.36pm.
