We are looking for two extraordinary people to join an extraordinary organisation in an extraordinary place.
Shetland Arts has gone through massive growth over the past 5 years. We have built the award winning Mareel, the UK’s most northerly music cinema and creative industries centre; we have delivered world class exhibitions in Bonhoga, our contemporary art gallery now celebrating its 20th year; we have supported touring and community theatre in the Garrison Theatre, the home of theatre in Shetland for over 90 years; we have presented our four annual festivals and hundreds of live music events along with a raft of arts development activity. Our challenge now is to grow the strength of our organisation, to build on our excellent track record of creative delivery while consolidating our social enterprise approach that has seen us make a shift from primarily a grant-funded organisation to one that today generates over 65% of its own income. Rooted locally with an international outlook we are embarking on a new journey. Do you want to join us?
