Apprenticeships Officer
Starting salary £23,969 plus Excellent Benefits
Fixed Term Contract/12 months Maternity cover
Mobile – The Shetland Islands – part time
20 hours/week
You will undertake the daily activities associated with the delivery of Apprenticeship programmes. These will include close liaison with colleges, companies, parents and apprentices, carrying out pre-employment H&S checks and apprentice progress reviews.
You will have the responsibility of monitoring the progress of apprentices towards their qualifications, attending colleges and sites to undertake progress reviews and H&S monitoring. You will need to travel around the Shetland Islands and be organised and motivated to work on your own initiative.
An understanding of the Scottish MA Programme or construction industry is essential in this challenging role, along with aqualification such as SSSTS in Health and Safety.
A flexible approach to working hours will be necessary.
