A severe weather forecast meant a change in the southbound sailing of Serco NorthLink’s passenger ferry today.
The Hjaltland sailed at noon as opposed to 5.30pm. She is expected to arrive in Kirkwall at 5pm and depart for Aberdeen at 6pm.
Arrival in Aberdeen would be at 1am but passengers would not leave the ferry until the normal 7am, the ferry company said.
