Hay’s Dock Café Restaurant is a key component in the delivery of the 5-Star rated Shetland Museum & Archives service. An exciting opportunity has arisen
for a full-time Executive Chef to lead our existing team within the Restaurant. The post-holder will be responsible for all aspects of the management of the
kitchen and delivery of all catering services.
The post-holder will require considerable skills, experience and knowledge of service delivery within a restaurant environment. The Restaurant champions Shetland produce and the post-holder must be passionate about the produce Shetland has to offer. The Restaurant seeks to deliver high quality, good value and distinctive food that reflects and celebrates the very best of Shetland’s heritage and culture.
The post-holder should have at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity and must be able to demonstrate success in managing a kitchen providing restaurant quality
food and wine. They should also hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate, an HND qualification or equivalent and be well acquainted with Cooksafe and HACCPS.
